Chemical Service Programs
At English Garden Care, we recognize that your grounds need much more than a weekly mow and blow to maintain a green, vigorous beauty. We offer a wide range of chemical services to ensure strong, handsome lawns as well as trees, shrubs, plants, and soil.
A healthy lawn starts with enriched, balanced soil. By providing a regular schedule of fertilization, weed control and soil amendments, your grass can look its best year round. Trust our licensed Chemical Turf Team to apply the right product at exactly the right time to improve your landscape. Our monthly chemical service programs provide any or all of the following applications relevant to your specific landscape:
Seasonal fertilization. Your lawn requires a seasonally balanced fertilization every six to eight weeks to maintain its strength and color. A healthy lawn can also prevent weed infiltration.
Crabgrass pre-emergent. Two applications in early spring (ten weeks apart) on your lawn can prevent crab grass from appearing throughout the year.
Post-emergents for broad leaf, clovers, nut sedge, dallis grass. All of those pesky weeds that infiltrate your lawn can be eradicated with the correct chemical applications.
Iron and pH balancing. Balance your soil for healthier plantings. A pH soil test measures the acidity or alkalinity of your soil, suggesting the correct amendment to promote stronger, more resilient plantings.
Merit injections. A Merit injection in January can prevent the sticky, sap-like substance that appears on many varieties of trees due to aphids. Treatment of rose bushes and trees will also prevent the appearance of aphids year round.
Preventive grub and fungi control. Most lawn diseases are caused by fungus or insects. Because the damage begins underground, at the root of the grass, it is often difficult to detect an invasion. A preventive application in susceptible areas can deter the problem.
One-time services. One-time chemical services can also be provided on an as-needed basis.
